When did you first realize you have a psychic gift?
I grew up in a family of intuitives. My Aunt was a reader at a well-known tea house. Spirits started coming to me when I was a little child. But I would be so scared; feeling all these beings standing around my bed, I’d put the covers over my face and hide so I could not see them.
But spirits always came with love. When I was about 3 years old, 3 older women stood at the foot of my bed and they said, “Do not be afraid, we come in love.” The experience helped me relax, and from that point on I was able to communicate with beings not of the Earth plane.
What inspired you to offer psychic readings?
I started doing professional readings when I was 15 years old. I would go over to friends’ houses and read their palms. That soon progressed to Tarot and Oracle cards. I used to dabble in séances with a group of teenage friends. I don't think anyone was as into it as I was.
But after a rather scary experience in high school, after reading for a classmate, I ended up stopping reading. I was scared of my abilities and wanted nothing more than to shut it off. I got help from a psychic. I learned that there are many kinds of people in this line of work. Just because you say you are spiritual doesn't mean you are ethical. This woman not only scared the daylights out of me, but also took me for a ride with her “help” to the tune of 100s of dollars.
After this experience I did not read anyone for 10 years. But the calling came back again from spirit and I met a wonderful mentor through a spiritualist church. She taught me to fine-tune my abilities and to be a clear channel for spirit. I learned to stay away from the negative.
What makes you a sought-after psychic?
I have always been one to fight for the underdog. A person that has experienced so much joy and so much pain in my life. That I truly understand how someone feels. I try to take my own lessons and help a person understand how their actions affect not only their path but also how it ripples outward and affects everyone else around them.

How do you ground yourself before a reading?
I keep Reiki infused water next to my computer, and I sage my home daily. Not only do I sage but I also open up all the windows and clear the energy. Stagnant energy can make you feel scattered and drained. It's always smart to sage and clear daily to keep your space clear.
In your opinion, why do people lose hope in difficult situations? And what can be helpful?
We are human beings – so patience is a virtue. But I know it’s very hard to stand back and understand that things take time. Anytime a relationship gets stuck or even career growth, you have to adjust your actions so that the energy around you can shift too.
In your eyes, what is the most common issue that prevents people from living a fulfilling life?
Fear is by far the biggest obstacle. We tend to look at the negative things that happened in the past and let them limit us. Fear can manifest in many ways. A person can seem stubborn or closed off when in fact it's a fear that they can't seem to get out of their own way and take the steps to change.
Do you think people should know all the truth about their future?
Absolute truth is necessary; no one is ever better off from hearing fluff. Fluff may take the sting away now but it will not serve the person in the long run. The reader is responsible for delivering the hard message with love and compassion. To help empower the client, to help them understand how to take back their own power and heal themselves. We are not meant to know everything. Spirit will not sit in a reading and tell all. Some things will not come through because it may affect our soul's growth.
